Whilst many parents are keen to get their kids back to school, and teachers are looking forward to being back in the classroom, we wanted to highlight some of the advantages that online tuition can provide, and put forward a new perspective on how it can help you or your child. 

One key advantage of learning online, is that it allows for more flexibility in learning – students can access help at more times of the day, faster, and when they need it most. Our tutors are available outside of school hours, ready to help your child, whether they’re stuck on a challenging maths problem, or just can’t quite find the right adjectives to take their creative writing to the next level, a quick lesson can solve any problem. It also allows more able students to move through the content faster, and get ahead, ensuring that when it comes to exam time, they’ve had plenty of opportunity to practice exam questions and it allows them to access more challenging content to really push their understanding. 

It encourages students to study more at home; many parents have been through the struggle of trying to get their child to study after school, or even just do their homework, but students tend to find it hard to concentrate at home, often don’t have a study space set-up and don’t associate the home environment with learning. Online tuition has encouraged students to set-up a clear study space in the house and to get used to working from home, making it easier than ever to stay a few more hours, and hit those revision goals. 

Additionally, online, teachers can provide more resources for students, and working on an interactive whiteboard together can help to encourage problem solving, creative thinking and helps students to develop a collaborative approach to learning. It will also be extremely useful for the workplace, as the working environment moves increasingly towards a hybrid model, the online and technical capabilities of students are being assessed more and more in job interviews and work-based scenarios.
